Consisting of only eight cottages and assigned, covered parking, the 2-acre (1 hectare) Paliuli complex is centrally located in the prestigious resort community of Princeville.

With over 1,300 sq ft (121 m2) of living space and a split-level, open floor plan, Paliuli #1 boasts 2 bedrooms (1 king bed loft style, 1 queen bed and 1 sleeper sofa) each with its own recently remodeled en suite bathroom, a fully equipped kitchen, and an enclosed lanai with a dipping pool. Lounge indoors among the coastal décor of the bright and airy living area, or simply step outside to your own private courtyard to dine, or relax in the dipping pool.

Outdoor activities are just a walk away from the Paliuli complex. Stroll down the road to Sealodge Beach (.5 mile/1 km) or take a 30-minute hike to snorkel or swim at Hideaways Beach (1.8 miles/3 km). Golf on oceanfront holes, eat a casual lunch, or take a sunset golf tour at the Princeville Makai Golf Club, less than a mile away (1.6 km). The community walking path will lead you to Princeville Center (1 mile/1.6 km), where shopping and dining choices await.

Take the provided beach gear when you wander outside of Princeville to world famous Hanalei Bay (4.5 miles/7.2 km) or to the coral reefs of Anini Beach (6 miles/9.5 km). Explore the lighthouse and wildlife refuge or play a round of mini golf within a botanical garden in Kilauea (6.3 miles/10 km).

  Beautiful home and close to everything on the North side of the island. A very tropical location, surrounded by blooming flowers, singing birds and of course the chickens! Would have loved to stay longer. Will definitely recommend this amazing home to friends and hope to return for a longer stay.

  We absolutely loved this cottage for its privacy and because it had covered parking and was located in a quiet area within Princeville. We used the pool daily and found the location an easy launching point to head to Hanalei or Kilauea or other points of interest. The cottage is well-appointed, the king-size bed was really comfortable, and the windows/ceiling fans allowed for plenty of cooling inside the unit.

  This cottage is fantastic! We were three people traveling for work and also had time to do a day hike. Guidelines about the amenities on the property were clear and everything was very clean. M included helpful tips about activities in the area as well. The neighborhood is super quiet. I love the pool too! Thank you Makana!

  We had a great stay - it was just as pictured and described! It *is* in a gated community, a fact that was somewhat obscured in the description and seemed a little like overkill with multiple different codes to remember to get both in and out but other than that we would consider renting again!

  Our Paliuli 1 was perfect from the first moment we entered the condo! Finally we found a caliber of management company to equal rhe caliber of property! Our friends a block away we’re horrified at the condition of their condo! Sarah and staff at Makana are professionals! Only flaw is the plunge pool has no ladder to get in and the first step is four feet down. They tell me they will remedy that ny our next visit in May. Love the place! Thankyou

  The property was as described and was clean and welcoming. The beach chairs, boogie boards, and beach towels were a great amenity to have on site. The check-in and checkout processes were both very simple and easy to navigate. Do be aware that the master bedroom is loft style and open to the main living areas.
